Biography of Hafez

Hello!
Today I decided to introduce one of the best Iranian poets. Who has lived many years ago… .
Khaje shamsoddin Mohammad hafeze Shirazi (Khwāja Šamsu d-Dīn Muḥammad Hāfez-e Šīrāzī) usually we call him Hafez.
Hafez was born about the year 1310 CE in Shiraz, one of the big cities of Iran. His father baha-od-din was one of the businessmen of Isfahan, and after marriage he migrated to the shiraz.
When Hafez was a small boy bah-od-din passed away. So, he lived with his mother.
Hafez went to school when he was child and after that went to scholar of that time of Iran and learned many things from them. In his twenties he was one of the best scholers in religious and literature of Iran and the world on that time. because was memorized all of the Quran he chose Hafez pseudonym for him self. (hafez means who has memorized Quran)
Hafez was proficient of composing sonnet. He has about 500 sonnet and some other kind of poems. we have all of his poems in the book what we call him divan (a collection of poems in the Persian style)-hafez. (download it in English translation)
Divan-hafez was published more than 400 time in diffrent languages and ways.
Hafez was really one of the greatest poems in the world. His poems has impressed many poets in the world.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethea one of the famous German poets has writen West-Eastern divan impressing divan-Hafez and second chapter of this book was called Hafeznameh (book of Hafez).
Friedrich Nietzsche another German poems has composed a poem about Hafez and donated it to him.
Hafez was passed-away in the age of 69. His tomb is located in the Musalla Gardens of Shiraz. (Hafezieh).
